Leader Bios

Chad was a “church kid” from birth, but became disenchanted with religion very early on in life. This was the case in Chad’s teens and early twenties until he had a radical encounter with the God that changed everything. Chad founded DVi8 in September of 2008 with the mission of reaching a generation of young adults in the Eugene/Springfield area and local region with the gospel of Jesus Christ. DVi8 is equipping young adult believers with biblical tools and correct thinking about Godly principals that will empower them to live out successful Christian lives. Chad is passionate about worship, prayer, and bible teaching that empowers both the believer and unbeliever to view God and themselves correctly.

Worship melodies change with the times… but the heart and purpose remain the same. Capture the heart of God through praise and worship, lift up His name, and lay ourselves down.

Consisting of top musicians and vocalists from multiple churches in the Oregon’s Willamette Valley, DVi8 Worship Band, brings this musical offering that is grounded with the desire to rally around songs of faith, hope, and love. DVi8 Worship Bands’ passion and sincerity, resurrects the need to offer our lives as living sacrifices in awe of God’s unwavering love for us.

Band Leader – Tim Lawson
Tim has grown up at Goshen Assembly of God near Eugene, Oregon. Throughout his time at Goshen Tim has been a driving force of the church. Leading worship, overseeing the creative arts department, including sound, lighting, stage set and more. Serving is where Tim finds his purpose. God has always been pursuing and pulling Tim in the direction of worship and creative arts. Now in his late 20’s Tim is still ministering at Goshen on a weekly basis, as well as serving as the worship leader for DVi8. Our worship time at DVi8 and our conferences are an intimate time in God’s presence. Tim is attentive to the Holy Spirit and allows each service to flow as the Spirit moves.
